Hello and welcome! I'm Shawntrelle Pettiford, though many of you know me simply as The Cookie Lady. I’m the proud founder, owner, and baker behind The Cookie Bar, LLC, where cookies are more than a treat, they're an experience.

My journey with baking began in the 90s, inspired by the incredible women in my family. As a child, I spent countless hours watching my grandmother in Yonkers, New York, and my great-grandmother in Bluefield, West Virginia, create homemade meals and baked goods for family and neighbors. Their kitchens were filled with warmth, laughter, and love; teaching me that food has the power to bring people together and create lasting memories.

That legacy lives on through The Cookie Bar. Every cookie and cake I bake is made with the same love and care I saw growing up. It’s more than a business—it's a passion. My goal is simple: to craft sweet moments and unforgettable flavors that spark joy, connection, and comfort, one bite at a time.

Outside the kitchen, I enjoy traveling, spending quality time with my family, and giving back through social work. I’m a proud alumna of OCC, OU, and WSU, with degrees in Mental Health and Social Work.
